DENTURES
Dentures, also known as false teeth, are constructed to replace missing teeth; they are supported by the surrounding soft and hard tissues of the oral cavity. There are two types of dentures available complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain. If you have lost all of your natural teeth, whether from gum disease, tooth decay or injury, replacing missing teeth will benefit your appearance and your health. That is because dentures make it easier to eat and speak better than you could without teeth—things that people often take for granted.
When you lose all of your teeth, facial muscles can sag, making you look older. Dentures can help fill out the appearance of your face and profile. They can be made to closely resemble your natural teeth so that your appearance does not change much. Dentures may even improve the look of your smile.
While dentures can last for a longer tenure, it is advisable to meet your dentist at fixed intervals to be remade, adjusted or repaired due to normal wear and tear. Please contact the team at Sanctuary Lakes Family Dental to discuss the various types of dentures we provide.
